GeoLink determines the precise geographic location of any outdoor photograph — without metadata, without GPS, without EXIF. Upload a single image and GeoLink analyzes five independent categories of visual signals to return confidence-scored coordinates across 190+ countries. Faster and more accurate than any existing image geolocation system.
Five signal categories.
One location.
GeoLink analyzes every image through five independent visual signal pipelines. Each signal is scored (high, medium, or low confidence) and the results are combined to produce a final location estimate with a confidence radius.
Architecture & Landmarks
Identifies building styles, construction materials, and known landmarks. Ottoman, Haussmann, Soviet-era, Mediterranean — GeoLink recognizes architectural signatures from around the world and matches them against known geographic distributions.
Language & Signage
Detects text in the image — street signs, storefronts, license plates, billboards. Identifies the script (Latin, Arabic, Cyrillic, CJK, etc.) and the specific language to narrow the geographic region.
Vegetation & Terrain
Classifies the biome — coastal deciduous, arid desert, olive/cypress Mediterranean, tropical, tundra. Vegetation patterns are strong geographic indicators that narrow the location to specific climate zones.
Sky & Sun Angle
Estimates the sun position from shadow angles and sky characteristics. Combined with time-of-day estimation, this narrows the location to a specific latitude band and hemisphere.
Road & Infrastructure
Analyzes road markings, traffic signage conventions, utility infrastructure, and vehicle types. French traffic signs look different from German ones. Power line styles vary by region. These details constrain the location further.
Confidence Scoring
Each signal is rated independently (high, medium, or low). The final confidence score and radius reflect the combined strength of all signals. A 94% confidence with 0.8 km radius means GeoLink is highly certain about the location.
Intelligence from a single photograph
OSINT Verification
Verify or debunk claimed locations in open-source content. A photograph claims to be from Damascus — GeoLink confirms or contradicts the claim in seconds with a confidence score.
Evidence Contextualization
Place digital evidence on a geographic map. Know where a photo was taken, even when the subject or photographer cannot or will not reveal the location.
Hostage & Missing Persons
Analyze imagery from hostage situations or missing persons cases to identify the likely location from architectural and environmental cues visible in photographs.
Counterterrorism
Track the movements and operating areas of persons of interest through analysis of their digital footprint — social media posts, intercepted imagery, leaked photographs.
Intelligence Analysis
Geolocate imagery from any territory. Determine the physical location of events captured in photos or videos when no other geographic metadata is available.
Investigative Journalism
Verify the origin of photographs and video stills circulating in media. Independent geolocation provides an objective check on claimed locations.
